India lodges ‘strong protest’ against Pakistan for converting "Lahore gurdwara" into mosque’

India lodges ‘strong protest’ against Pakistan for converting "Lahore gurdwara" into mosque.

On a recent reported incident Indian High Commission recently started a strong protest against Pakistan High Commission. Where, Pakistan was trying to convert Gurdwara 'Shahidi Asthan', site of martyrdom in Lahore into a mosque.

Pakistan has been claimed as the place of Masjid Shahid Ganj and attempts are being made to convert it into a mosque.It has been viewed with grave concern in India MEA Spokesman said. For the minority Sikh community in Pakistan, we have been calls protest for justice " he also added.

On this incident, India expressed their concerns in strongest terms  and called upon Pakistan to investigate the matter and take necessary remedial measures, he also added.

"Pakistan was also responded quickly. They promised to look after the security, safety well-being of its minority communities including protection of their religious rights and cultural heritage,".

MEA spokesman said.
